The mission of the Drama Committee is to encourage and facilitate the expression of creativity through drama, especially in the worship of God. We believe that this artistic expression enriches our spiritual lives. Drama and theology share common terminology and concepts. It is a vehicle for prophetic message, a pathway for truth telling, and a way to communicate with urgency and effectiveness.

To fulfill its mission, the Drama Committee considers and generates recommendations regarding drama events and takes appropriate action, assists in the recruitment of volunteers to help with production or celebrational drama, and hears and acts on relevant concerns from the congregation.

We have used conventional and experimental forms of drama as well as original materials with all age levels to provide varied experiences for audience and participants. The variety of forms include major productions of royalty plays, original dramatic montages on special themes, liturgical dramas for worship, festivals, support of church committee activities, children and youth programs, and adult study contract groups.
