Our Pastor
Rev. Dr. Beth Buckingham-Brown has been unanimously selected to serve as our Interim Pastor.
Beth is an ordained Presbyterian Minister with degrees from Princeton and San Francisco Theological Seminaries. She has served in a number of Bay Area Presbyterian Churches. She began her work with congregations in 1988.
Beth is familiar with the MPC community and our emphasis on social justice, inclusivity and creative worship. She has completed Interim Ministry Training and she is looking forward to helping us determine how to arrive at our envisioned future through our new Mission Study. She welcomes music and creativity in worship.
Beth brings administrative and staff development skills to our community along with experience in Christian Education, Spiritual Direction, Preaching and conflict resolution. She has served as a Chaplain with Hospice of Napa and values pastoral care as a component of her work as interim pastor. She has been involved with social justice work in a variety of forums and is looking forward to getting to know the Montclair community. Beth looks forward to getting to know us and sharing both laughter and tears. Beth is married to her wife, J.E., and they have two daughters, Emily and Anna.
