The Art Gang

The Art Gang is a loosely organized group of individuals that have an interest in art. The main purpose of the group is to provide an opportunity to join like-minded people in enjoying art, whether hands-on or simply viewing it, or to have an opportunity to see, discuss, and share art with others. The group meets twice a year (January and July) to discuss possible monthly “outings”, opportunities in the greater Bay Area at galleries, museums, artist workshops, etc…, where the group may gather and share an artistic experience. Occasionally an art-related movie is shown in the Thornhill Room. On rare occasions an overnight/weekend trip has been made.

While the Art Gang encourages people to do art and there are some very artistic members of the group, it is not a group of artists. OPEN TO ALL, artistic talent is NOT required of members, only a willingness to enjoy artistic endeavors with others.

For those with artistic talent who would like to display their drawings, paintings, photographs or other artworks, Room 10 at the church is used as gallery space.

Art Gang happenings are posted in CONTACT and The Bulletin a week or two in advance.
